I try to take on a coding project about every other year or so but the last time around I decided to delve a little deeper into code. I signed up to learn front end development with Thinkful.com. I learned HTML5, CSS3, jQuery and Javascript. For my final project, I chose to focus on CSS and HTML giving myself the challenge of creating a responsive Family Tree website and getting creative with typography. While I do use CSS quite frequently when tweaking my client’s WordPress sites, I have no interest in becoming a developer. I’m much more of a visual thinker. I do believe you have to know how this stuff works to design properly so it was well worth the time, effort, and expense.
