I acquired a big box of lace from my mother-in-law and was trying to figure out what to do with it so naturally I went to Pinterest. I saw a very cool DIY pendant lamp and decided to try it.

V.1: I learned that lace was note a good medium for this project. It was polyester and therefor didn’t absorb the gluing agents. You’ll see how it collapsed within itself when I removed the mold.

V.2: I followed another Pinner’s process and decided to try again using wool yarn the second go around. Success.

So, although I didn’t get to hang the lace version, the wool pendant hangs in that dining room still today. We sold the house and the buyer requested the lamp. Suuuure, why not?!  I’ll make another one some day.
